Moon in Scorpio

All About Scorpio, New Expanded Edition, now available in paperback and Kindle formats

Self-reliant, strong, and passionate by nature, the Scorpio-moon person lives life at a high level of intensity and is driven to explore its mysteries.

Those with the moon in Scorpio are usually tough and resilient, able to face change and adversity with courage and turn bad luck to their advantage in the long run.

Lunar Scorpios Are Self-Reliant and Strong

The lunar Scorpio is ambitious, persistent, determined, and forceful, with a powerful personal magnetism. Leadership ability usually comes with this placement.

Unless the sun and ascendant are in fire or air signs, the Scorpio-moon person tends to be an introvert, preferring to work alone, and seeking out a small group of close friends rather than acquiring a large circle of acquaintances.

Self-reliant survivors, Scorpio-moon people are usually good in a crisis, and are often at their best when situations are at their worst. In difficult circumstances, the Scorpio strength and courage come to the fore, enabling them to perform well under pressure.

Scorpio-Moon People Are Interested in the Intangible Aspects of Life

The lunar Scorpio seeks to understand life’s mysteries. These mysteries may be explored directly via scientific inquiry or indirectly through occult studies or spiritual pursuits. Many moon-in-Scorpio people experience events that are not easily explained by science, such as predictive dreams or connections with the afterlife, and they are often drawn to ideas and experiences that frighten other people.

Scorpio-moon people also seek to understand human psychology. They are extremely intuitive about the emotions of others, and they are good at getting people to confide their secrets. Kindhearted lunar Scorpios use this knowledge to provide comfort and practical assistance when needed, but an unethical Scorpio-moon person may exploit it to take advantage of other people’s weaknesses.

Moon-in-Scorpio People Experience Intense Emotions

There is a tendency toward extremes whenever Scorpio is prominent in the natal chart, and so Scorpio-moon people tend to experience profound loves and hatreds rather than simply perceiving others as either pleasant or irritating. This trait is particularly evident in relationships with women, both romantic and platonic.

Although the moon-in-Scorpio person has a passionate nature, he is in firm control of his emotions when others are watching. He is prone to jealousy, rage, and anguish, but also exalted feelings of euphoria. Many people with this moon sign have a secret sorrow related to their families or childhoods.

Scorpio-moon people can be secretive and difficult to know. They hide their true feelings from others, as they can’t stand to show vulnerability and risk another person having power over them. A hedonistic streak combined with a tendency to suppress feelings also increases the risk of addiction.

Rejection and betrayal seem to hit Scorpio-moon people harder than others, and they are unlikely to forgive or forget. Resentful of those they believe have slighted them and inclined to hold grudges, Scorpio-moon people can be vindictive unless the sun or ascendant is in a more peaceable sign. With lunar Scorpios, a kindness is never forgotten, and it is likely to be repaid tenfold, but the same goes for a cruelty. Due to this tendency, Scorpio-moon people make loyal, supportive friends and fierce enemies.

The lives of Scorpio-moon people are often characterized by emotional drama, either their own or that of those around them. Easily bored with anything superficial or lukewarm, they seek to forge deep connections with other high-intensity people, even when these connections are volatile and traumatic.

Given the association of Scorpio with death and rebirth, it is unsurprising that Scorpio-moon people seek high-intensity experiences and often make sweeping life changes, particularly when under stress. Rarely content with halfway measures, the Scorpio-moon person will often overturn her life and burn some or all of her bridges if she feels the need to renew herself.

Emotional security for the lunar Scorpio comes through establishing a loving partnership or platonic friendship where he can be sure of the other person’s loyalty. Fiercely protective of those he cares about, the moon-in-Scorpio person is inclined to risk great danger to ensure the safety and happiness of those close to him.

If other planetary placements and aspects in the natal chart incline the person toward gentleness and balance, the lunar Scorpio can be extremely compassionate, generous, and altruistic, and these traits will be enhanced in times of stress. If she feels that the cause is just or the individual worthy, the positive Scorpio-moon person will make noble sacrifices.

  3. Bely

This describes aspects of my live exactly. I’m a sag and always read sap profile. but now I understand the oyher side of me. Thumb-up!!!!

  4. I’m a libra with moon in Scorpio.i always thought I was crazy or finding the wrong guy. Just cannot Corp with my emotions. Now I understand myself.

    1. I’m the same and it does scare me how accurate this sounds. I’ve always felt like a really dark person for a Libra and this may make me believe more in astrology

  5. I’m a libra thought I was crazy or ugly, maybe stupid.but now I know that not the case l am just very very emotional.

  6. Im a Solar Sag and never understand my true self. I thought that I should not get overlly emotional because it made me look less a Sag. So, everyday I’ll go to meet people I show them my Sag self, but when I get home, I will shut myself from outer worlds. Friends family, literally everyone, I don’t bother to think of having an outing with them. I will just make myself unavailable for everyone. I don’t talk much to everyone but when I need to engage with different persona, I will show them my the other part of me-Sag, and when I’m on my own I , will be buried in the raging sea of emotions. I hate them because I would cry over and over again and i tend to replaying every chapter of my heartbroken drama and those characters in life that gives me pain, i do believe that I took avange so deep. I did say I forgive but to forget is never. Until that one day I came across an online article which says “your moon sign is the true you” .So I calculated and found out that I have a moon in Scorpio. I was so shock and after every bit of reading about moon in Scorpio, I’m so overwhelm to know that I had two personalities which makes me myself. Brooding is always my favourite and I will be restless and unhappy if I had to share rooms with someone.

      1. I’m a Sag sun and Scorpio moon as well and this is 100% me I’m still trying to come to terms with being a Scorpio moon I honestly don’t like it. I hate how intense my emotions can get. I want to be in control of my emotions and be care free but it’s so difficult to fight my pessimistic nature sometimes.

  7. I’m a Cancer w/ Leo Cusp Sun and Scorpio Moon. Describes me to a “T”. I have never felt emotional but knew I had these emotions inside me that were either “Hate it or Love it”. I will stand up for an enemy and can forgive on a dime but if crossed will think about it all the time. I can read people instantly but if I am read I feel exposed and can leave a situation and never look back. Knowing I am more than just my Sun sign helps me understand myself. Scorpio Moons need a “Self Help Club” to talk about all those feelings we never discuss. 🙂

  8. Wow man like im blown away and relieved at the reading of this Scorpio Moon description. I see many of you feel as mind blown as i do and it’s cool because i feel unique but not alone aloneaalonalonalone

  9. Sag with a Scorpio moon and this explains all about me. Wow ,wow, wow, especially the vindictive part, once you cross me it’s hell to pay.

  10. Just today I’ve learned the difference between my sun sign: Libra/Scorpio cusp and moon sign:Scorpio. No wonder I’ve never been a brides maid, let alone married.and at the end of the day I have a Capricorn male to thank for this. As I have been researching the male Capricorn traits due to a 7 yr. Friendship becoming intimate out of the blue one day. His longterm partner is a female w/ sun sign of Scorpio. Very few things surprise me these days however this enlightenment floors me. I’m 49 and my whole life I thought myself to be Libra/ Scorpio cusp w/ traits of both and scorpio dominant. Trying to figure out why my Capricorn friend, now lover was so unhappy in his relationship w/ his chick of 22 plus years, I decided to Google the differences between her Sun and my Moon. I certainly wasn’t expecting to discover ALL this. I’ll have to thank him for enabling me to discover more about myself than I ever would have known, trying to figure him out. LOL, does that make sense? Well, it does to me. If the truth be known at a time in my life that I needed to learn this the most. Now what? I guess we will see. Talk about a moment of clarity.

  11. I’m a Sun Gemini with a moon Scorpio. And I have thought that I might be crazy, because I have two polarized sides to my personality, and I’m sure they’re are many subunits too. I do wait for the right time to seek vengeance. But an act of kindness, truly, is repaid multifolds.

    1. I am Gemini/Cancer cusp with moon in Scorpio. I have to say that it is hard for me to be in relationships. I don’t open up easily to men. I enjoy sex so much. I always test my partners and when they show me they can’t be trusted, I actually retaliate and kick them out of my life. I don’t give them my chances for fear of them truly hurting me more than they did. My last relationship or sexuationshop was with a Scorpio male. D we really hit it off. I felt I met my twin flame. He showed me too he could t be trusted and hurt e by betraying me. I ousted him. Needless to say we are both seeking revenge on each other but I still feel his love for me. I am really good at feeling others even when they are not around. Especially those I’ve had such a close tie to. Make sense? I refuse myself to let him in and live him. I still feel his energetic presence all around me, his anger, his love his pain. I feel connected to him and he is with someone else. Oh well. Live and learn I guess.

  12. So trueeee…i m sagittarius with scorpio moon and according to mbti i m infj..
This article is so true and relatable….

  13. Im a Pisces Sun with Moon in Scorpio…. Im so elated that I have my Moon in Scorpio! It’s deep and dark but it’s also high and light… the trick is to learn how to swim up from the dark depths into the lighter highs when necessary…
But I know it’s easily said than done, right, my tribe? We always tend to LIVE OUT every emotion that’s worthy of life! Lol… Blessings to you all❤️
