Love, Marriage, and Compatibility for Aquarius

By Shaya Weaver

Traditional astrologers believe that Aquarians are most compatible with Aries, Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, and least compatible with Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn, but what do the actual marriage and divorce statistics say?

Mathematician Gunter Sachs (1998) conducted a large-scale study of sun signs, encompassing nearly one million people in Switzerland, which found statistically significant results on a number of measures including marriage and divorce. Castille (2000) conducted a similar study in France using marriage statistics collected between 1976 and 1997, which included more than six million marriages. Findings from these studies are summarized below.

Marriage: Aquarius Men

The Sachs Study

Sachs found that Aquarius men most often marry Aquarius women, and that they are less likely than average to marry Tauruses and Scorpios. The following is an overall ranking from most common to least common marriages with Aquarius men (* indicates that the result is statistically significant – in other words, too large to attribute to random chance):

  1. Aquarius*
  2. Leo
  3. Gemini
  4. Virgo
  5. Capricorn
  6. Pisces
  7. Sagittarius
  8. Aries
  9. Libra
  10. Cancer
  11. Scorpio*
  12. Taurus*

It’s no surprise to see Aquarius topping the list here. Two Aquarians are likely to have shared interests, tolerate one another’s quirks and idiosyncrasies, and give each another plenty of personal freedom, and although Aquarians can be naturally contrary because they enjoy the intellectual stimulation of a good debate, they rarely engage in damaging emotional arguments.

It’s also unsurprising to find that Aquarius men marry Taurus and Scorpio women less often than those of other signs. Tauruses and Scorpios are prone to jealousy, and Aquarians may find them too possessive.

As for divorce, Sachs found that Aquarius men part ways more frequently than average with Gemini and Cancer women, but are least likely to divorce Aries and Leo.

Cancer and Aquarius can be a challenging match because a typical Cancer requires sensitivity, emotional support, and relationship security, whereas a typical Aquarian is emotionally detached, independent by nature, and likely to find an escape route if he feels that his partner is too needy.

Gemini and Aquarius, both air signs, are thought to be a compatible match, so their higher-than-average divorce rate may be attributable to a lack of sticking power rather than incompatibility. Because both signs are impulsive, easily bored, change-seeking, and drawn to new people and situations, neither may push very hard for a commitment in some cases, and relationships may just dissolve naturally as one or both wander off in search of something new.

As for the matches that are more likely to stick, Aries and Aquarius both tend to be honest, generous, sociable, and inclined to try new things rather than sticking with routines, so they have a better-than-average likelihood of holding each other’s interest. And although Leo and Aquarius are supposedly incompatible, they do share some of the same traits that Aquarius shares with Aries, including extroversion, generosity, adventurousness, and forthrightness, which may be the foundation for some of the longer-lasting matches. Some Leo-Aquarius partners may also benefit from each other’s complementary traits, or find their differences interesting rather than stressful.

The Castille Study

Castille also found that Aquarius men are most likely to marry Aquarius women. However, in France, they are least less likely than average to marry Leos and Virgos. The following is an overall ranking from most common to least common marriages with Aquarius men (* indicates that the result is statistically significant):

  1. Aquarius*
  2. Taurus
  3. Cancer
  4. Pisces
  5. Sagittarius
  6. Capricorn
  7. Gemini
  8. Aries
  9. Libra
  10. Scorpio
  11. Leo*
  12. Virgo*

It’s no surprise that two Aquarians make it to the altar more often than any other Aquarius pairing, as they will probably have similar attitudes, lifestyle preferences, or ways of relating to the world.

Virgo’s position at the bottom of the list accords with traditional astrological beliefs about sun sign compatibility. Virgo and Aquarius have little in common. They are usually be drawn to different lifestyles and may have trouble relating to each other or meeting each other’s needs. These two signs also tend to irritate each other, as a typical Virgo is sensible, pragmatic, and careful, while Aquarius is risk taking and impractical. However, if their moon signs or rising signs are more compatible, this can be an interesting match.

As for Leo and Aquarius, there are many reasons why this pairing may be difficult. Leo is a sign of the heart and Aquarius a sign of the mind. Leos love material things, whereas Aquarius is drawn to ideas and the intangible aspects of life. Leos like to be the center of attention, but Aquarians tend to spread their social energies across diverse groups of people. Leos  prefer a partner with a sense of style, and typical Aquarians are oblivious to fashion, except perhaps the occasional quirky fad. Leos are fiery and passionate, whereas Aquarians tend to be emotionally detached and easy going to the point where others may mistakenly believe they are cold and indifferent. However, the divorce statistics collected by Sachs indicate that this match may have above-average sticking power if these two actually make it to the altar, so it is possible that the differences keep their relationships lively and interesting if they make it to the marriage stage, or that some Leo-Aquarius pairs bond over the common ground of adventurousness, as both tend to seek excitement and new experiences rather than establishing safe routines.

Marriage: Aquarius Women

Sachs Study

Sachs found that Aquarius women marry Aquarius men most often, but have a below-average marriage rate with Leos, and that they are less likely to divorce Sagittarians than those of any other sign. As for who they are most inclined to divorce, there was no statistically significant result for any sign. Matches between Aquarius and Sagittarius may be favoured because neither is inclined toward possessiveness and both tend to be extroverted, so they are likely to share a good social life. Other shared traits include adventurousness, interest in social or political causes, and a natural rebelliousness or eccentricity that makes them less conventional than most people.

The following is an overall ranking from most common to least common marriages with Aquarius women (* indicates that the result is statistically significant):

  1. Aquarius*
  2. Pisces
  3. Cancer
  4. Capricorn
  5. Sagittarius
  6. Scorpio
  7. Gemini
  8. Libra
  9. Taurus
  10. Aries
  11. Virgo
  12. Leo*

As expected, Aquarius tops the marriage list, while Leo takes the bottom slot. It may be particularly hard for Leo men to grant Aquarius women the freedom and independence they require because Leos tend to be possessive. Leos also like to protect and care for others and may become unhappy if they don’t feel needed.

Castille Study

Castille also found that Aquarian women are most likely to marry Aquarius men. The following is an overall ranking from most common to least common marriages with Aquarius women (* indicates that the result is statistically significant):

  1. Aquarius*
  2. Capricorn
  3. Sagittarius
  4. Cancer
  5. Leo
  6. Aries
  7. Pisces
  8. Gemini
  9. Taurus
  10. Libra
  11. Virgo
  12. Scorpio

The Best Match for Aquarius

The best match for Aquarius appears to be another Aquarius and perhaps Sagittarius. However, Aquarians who find themselves romantically entangled with one of the less compatible signs should not despair. Plenty of relationships and marriages between supposedly incompatible signs have lasted.

It’s important to keep in mind that these are statistical tendencies; this doesn’t mean that every romance between incompatible signs is doomed. For example, out of 6,498,320 marriages encompassing all possible sign combinations in the Castille study, there were 1,059 more marriages between Aquarius men and Aquarius women than would be expected if sun signs had no effect, whereas between Aquarius men and Virgo women, there were 529 fewer marriages than would be expected if pairings were random. However, there still were many marriages between the supposedly least compatible signs.

Astrology is complex, and there is more to take into account than just sun signs. Two people with incompatible sun signs may have highly compatible rising signs or moon signs that can make the difference between a bad match and a good match with a bit of an “edge” that keeps things interesting.

*The methodology of the Sachs study has been criticized and it remains controversial. I have found no critiques of the Castille study thus far.

I believe Castille’s stats are more reliable, in part because of the much larger sample size, and in part because from my own observation and celebrity examples, Aquarius men DO tend to marry Taurus women with surprising frequency, and the marriages also tend to last.

I’m an Aquarius woman with a Virgo man. We’ve been together 10 years now and we’re happy. Quite honestly, I think it’s the differences in our traits that keeps us together. He can be an annoying perfectionist sometimes, but secretly I quite like it. I can be a bit impulsive which catches him off guard, but I think secretly he quite likes it, it keeps things alive

I’m an Aquarius woman and have been with my Virgo man for 6-1/2 years. We are happy but we definitely have to keep the lines of communication open (Virgo is not very communicative during conflict). Once you understand your Virgo man’s insatiable need for order and control you can work around that being a spontaneous water bearer.

Yes, I’m an Aquarian madly in love with a younger, Taurus man. I’m about 25 years his senior, but I’m telling you, the love is so “Sizzling Hot” and directly on point, that it will make you melt, by talking about it!!
My Taurus guy is such an intellectual as I’am. He is also so practicle, and down to earth, as I’am!!
We of course are very different in a lot of ways, but we are also alike in a lot of ways!!
Believe me, opposites do attract beautifully, if two people are in love and are crazy about one another, the relationship will work and last, as long as both partners want it to!!! Believe me he is a stubborn, Taurus The Bull, and I’m an Aquarian, The Water-Bearer, but our mutual respect, and passionate love for one another, outweighs any other supposedly factors, that would try and make us incompatible!! We both bend, and give in to one another, because we know that we found something so “Special”, and we are not going to let nothing or no one, come between us, to let our love end!!!

Just let her know you’re interested in her, us Leo girls don’t do subtlety! Also if you are an Aqua chances are she likes you a lot anyway, Leos love aquarians. Just be direct, honest and never play mind games. Let her know you like her more than anyone else.
Trying to land an aquarian guy myself, but a damn possessive scorpio has got him atm, I’m just sitting back and waiting for the **$! to hit the fan, and then he’s mine. We Leos always get what we want!

I’m an Aquarius female (28) and I was with a Taurus (30) male for almost 11 years on and off, actually married him at 23 and got divorced, extremely possessive, jealous and he cared too much what everyone thought. I literally felt like I was put in a cage and there was no escape until I just realized how miserable I was and walked away from him. Oh and they’re very manipulative si watch out. Personally I do not like or get along with taurus and it’s not just my ex, even the women. I’ve been dating a Capricorn (42) for over a year now and I couldn’t have found a better human being. He’s laid back and allows me to just be myself without judging me and he is my best friend, lover, teacher and everything else you can ask for. Mh best friend is a Capricorn as well and thank gd we have never fought once in our lives and we grew up together. There is just a mutual love, respect, and trust between Aquarius and capricorns from my experience.

I can give input on Aquarius female with Leo man. It’s attractive initially to feel a Leo man’s need to explore and roam. That can turn ugly fast, because Leo men–especially emotionally unhealthy ones–prefer their “lioness” stay at home while he roams the field. It can become suffocating. Leo’s will settle down for one female–but another negative trait is some Leo men have extreme difficulty 2ith an Aquarius’ need to love and include others in their life, such as kids or platonic male friends. Many Leos, however, never get over the constant drive to prowl & seek out better mates. An Aquarius finds that double standard intolerable. So an emotionally healthy Leo man who knows to curb his negative tendencies may be fine 28th an Aquarius female. But I can’t say I would get involved with one again. Btw–had the same possessive qualities from female Leo friends.

Really? You’re going to marry someone you know was cheating on you? You think you can “work” on him to make him change? Sorry to say this but if you marry him you are a bit of a martyr, masochist, or unbelievably naive. The only “work” he is putting in is on another girls booty. Grow up and smell the roses. See a counselor to find out why your self esteem is so low that you choose to marry a guy you caught cheating. Or maybe you’re the kind of girl who likes to play the cat and mouse game of “see if you can catch him cheating.” Also a sick game.

I am an Aquarius female. I have had two marriages both Aquarius. I was never into astrology until recently single and investigating personality traits of a man I was madly in love with, a Gemini. Wooo. Is all I can say. And the two marriages, both failed due to addiction. Something I read Aquarius is in danger of, I never knew that either. I myself do not think I have any type of addiction personality however, I think of substance abuse when I say that . Perhaps I do have others like shopping, cleaning, which is nkt bad but still considered addictions!! Anyways, both men to this day say they love me. The marriages were great, close best friends, we have each other space, understood each other. Life events such as one’s addiction led me to leave and the was in the military and came back with injuries and PTSD so bad again became addicted to substance and life was too dangerous for me to stay with a child in the house. So, my opening up about all of that to say this research and review of my sign could not be any more accurate. I have stopped seeing the Gemini, too many sides to his personality and too many lies being told. I can’t handle dishonesty. He loves me but, believes it is ok not to be honest. And now again I find myself talking to an Aquarious. Perhaps thais will go somewhere and that is the sign i am drawn to afterall. Honesty and a free spirit are something we Aquarius desire. lefs just hope he has no addiction issues!!! Thanks for the research.

I am Aquarius woman dating an Aquarius man…. he somehow keeps me interested though he is wwwaaayyyy more boring in a sense. I am the fireworks in our relationship. He is the more romantic one. As an Aqua, he understands the needs of romance in an Aqua’s life and the sex. Other than that I get to prance around and take on the world and he is my biggest supporter. From household task to dealing with my crazy friends and family, he doesn’t miss a beat. We have brightened up each other’s world. We never actually say we love one another but deep down we know. We tackle everything as a team and I absolutely adore it. His strength, his character, his honesty, his loyalty has been everything I could dream of. Of course it’s simple for me to reciprocate because I am an Aqua and understand him effortlessly. We agree to disagree. We both like to be right so we challenged each other to prove each other right or wrong which is quite fun. We also respect each other’s expertise.

I don’t know what that means. Basically, it’s been a little over 2 months and this past week has got me confused. I also need him to try a little harder to make plans with me. I shouldn’t always be the one to send the first text. I’m thinking I just need to take a couple steps back and see what happens and hopefully he notices and steps up his game.

If you are not attached and want to exchange conversation that is a start. One step at a time usually works. Sometimes the ideas, and the chemistry may be super good, but conversation starts it and then people see how compatible they are and take it from there.
I am ready to meet a nice, friendly man, that likes conversation and knows how to respect, treat, and spoil a women. Your age and where you live is a start. I met a man and we communicated but he was still married, his wife is sick and he’s not sure how long she’s going to live, so I think he didn’t want to be left alone and lonely, so he was trying to find someone ahead of time. the best reply really appreciate what you have said and horoscopes if you really wanna know search Vedic astrology that is the mother of astrology or if you still believe in western astrology please stop looking at sun sign look at other signs and house too those are the main things that decide your love life and sun sign doesn’t matter sometimes it only on how much degrees the sign is tilled.Western astrology says I am an Aquarius but when I been deeply I really find out I am a Leo in Vedic astrology and my love is like piseces because my venus is placed their. But for real in the end, zodiac only tells different shades of a person’s personality everyone is emotional at a point of time okay imagine if your dad you love the most dies no matter who you are Aquarius Sagittarius or cancer you will cry. When you will study your personality deeply you will get to know what your real zodiac is please research deeply don’t be so sure about your birth date zodiac. If cancer is emotional then why aren’t they crying all the time some of the most detached guy Nikola Tesla was cancer whereas the most attached guy was Thomas Edison he was an Aquarius and I am zodiacs are changing since their founding 2000 years they are shifting so I will say please go see Vedic astrology and study deeply to know who you really are.

And a Pisces whom I was in a relationship with for 13 years( never married).. I love certain qualities of both men.. Feel I can be very laid back and be me with my Pisces man.. Yet feel more attracted and soulmate with my Gemini man.. If I could take what I love about each man n combine into one i would have the best man a woman could ask for or dream of… Please if anyone can share advice with me please do.. I need it badly

I am a 24 yr old Aquarius woman who loves 2 men 1 Aquarius one year and 1 day apart and was my first love! And the other cancer I’m engaged to him and we’ve been together for 6 years. The cancer man:overbearing, needy, disrespectful not really at first. Occasionally after I moved with my mom 800mi away! I don’t know what to do cancer IS sweet but not seeing eye 2 eye at all never truly understands my emotion when I tell him or reason with him there is 0 trust.
The aqua man was my first love, kiss, and nude photo! Reconnected when I consoled him about his divorce he texted me daily and we are like the exact same person but we still have differences likes/dislikes etc but not many at all! He gives me this crazy spark from shoulders to “toes” and I feel madly in love with him I’m going a little text happy and I’m being annoying. But he doesn’t see it that way he likes that I update him on my day even when He is not responding cuz of work etc. And cancer is just driving me insane explaining my emotions and trying to talk he takes everything so literally I want to explode he’s very emotional romantic and I love it but it can be overbearing and the aqua man doesn’t display emotions as often and I’m more the romantic he’s always been that way!
What do I do I’ve been engaged 5 months!
Please help me I’m 24ys old aqua girl idk what’s going on!
-mostly depressed or bummed on phone with cancer and also because I’m confused and make the wrong choice!

I am an Aquarius woman in love with a Virgo male. My ex was a Cancer, please stay away from Cancers. I don’t believe Aquarius is compatible with Cancer or Sag. Please avoid marriage. If he is overbearing now, it will only get worse when you marry. Please hold off on marriage. You must be sure. Are you in love with him or do you just want to be married? Cancer men do not make the Aquarius woman happy. Better as friends, not lovers.
The Aqua male just got out of a serious relationship, divorce is hard. He will not commit and if he doesn’t respond to texts then he doesn’t hold the same interest. Maybe due to the divorce. Do you live near the Aqua male? Don’t make any drastic moves, but I would definitely not Marry the Cancer. Look at all the red flags, pros and cons. If you leave the cancer man, date or use match.com or some website dedicated to people looking for marriages, serious relationships. Wish you luck. I think you will make the right decision.

I am aquarius female with a virgo man. We been together for 101/2 years. Our first seven years was the most exciting, loving and incredible years I’ve ever experienced. Our sex life was so wonderful, that he was the one in all my fantasies. Than our relationship took a turn for the worst. The next four years was totally the opposite from what we had. We broke up more than we could count. In the first seven years, I had honestly loved him so much. I told him,” when our lives end, I will wait for him in heaven or he will be there when I arrive in heaven. There is where we can and will be together forever. But in the next for years, all that we had built had fallen and crumbled to the ground. We tried to build back our relationship but couldn’t we miserably failed. And I gave up. We lost our happiness, and everything that came with it. I could now see the that we were not compatible for each other. As bad as things got to where my heart had fallen out of love. And felt nothing but pain and then it became numb. We had a connection invisible but real. I couldn’t explain it, and didn’t understand it. I had no hope left for this relationship. My thoughts and my words was was nothing but negative. But still this connection would not let us part. It felt like a chain holding on to our spirits and wouldn’t let go. Today was the day that I would set him free and let him fly back to Arizona where he should be. I sent him a text of why I was leaving and not coming back. I made it the final text. Preparing to move on with out him for sure. I have lived in this negative relationship with him for four years and knew I had enough. An hour or two have past from the time he received my message. Than out of nowhere a bright light had hit my thoughts in my head. I felt nothing but positive words flowing through. I heard every word in my head as I thought. I said to myself, I will tell him to confess and I will confess too. We will leave it behind and start everything new. We will discuss it tonight then leave it at that. We will pray to the lord to help us get through.. We will rest for the night and wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow is Sunday. A day people pray. We will vow to each other, to pray every Sunday, for healing and for help to restore this relationship. And have a new beginning. I’m an Aquarius dating an Aries man for a about a year. I love him so much he’s such a gentlemen and treats me like a queen. He understands my independence and need to go out with friends and be there for my friends and family. He makes me feel loved and always checks up on me. It can be a little overwhelming at times because of my unemotional nature I feel like I don’t know how to appreciate it. It takes me a minute to collect my emotions and tell him how I really feel. When we fight we get over it quickly and make up passionately. I had dated a Scorpio for 3 years and I thought we were soulmates but I ended up unhappy in the end because he was so possessive I couldn’t truly be myself. My Aries man makes me feel the sweet old fashioned love. His temper can be a little frustrating but I’m pretty patient to understand he doesn’t mean bad by it it’s just his personality and he will get over it soon. Good luck to everyone finding their dream guy/woman!

for me he was just too perfect !!!
Of course I had few relationships and there is a Aries man I know him from my high school he was asking me to date but I didn’t so we remain friends until now but he still loves me I just really cant love him he is too different than what I always wanted from a man. also he is too different from the virgo man.
and there were another aries, pisces, gemini, scorpio mens all just couldn’t better than Virgo man. I know its an opposite sign but I really hardly, deeply in love with him, no one cant replace Virgo. I want to be with him but he is too different from me.
Is there anyone who had dated or married or lived with a Virgo man?

Ok. This is interesting. I believe it 100%. But…
I am an Aquarian woman, always been drawn to Aquarian men like a fly to sh*t (pardon my French). Needless to say, I had a fair share of relationships with my fellow air sign.
One of them was locking me up in his flat (that he purchased for us to move in together when we marry on Italian Riviera) while going out to work, for hours on end. The worst thing to do to an Aquarius woman!
And another one was unreliable bully whom I had to kick out because it was between my sanity for my newborn baby or his shenanigans…
So, you guys, you never know.
But intimacy wise…air on air works fabulous.

Lol, I’m a Virgo with A LOT of air in my chart and still believe anyone who can stay married to an Aquarius man deserves a medal of valor and bravery. Their contrarian, stubborn, detached, needy, tit for tat personalities are just weird and they really don’t accord their partners the same flexibility they require. I personally would be okay if Aquarian men stayed away from me forever for the most part; well unless they’ve gone through therapy or I’ve looked at their birth chart for buffers. It’s no surprise they’d do better marrying other Aquarians because *sign of the cross* lol.

I enjoy Aquarius women though. They can be just as ‘know-it-all’ as their male counterparts, but their mental rapport is great and generally, in my experience, more open and self-aware after doing the work. I honestly know two with Pisceans and that connection does help with their detachment and honesty about their feelings. While pisceans are ‘feelings’ people, they can be less heavy/intense than Cancerians & Scorpios and still access the Aquarian’s cloaked subconscious as well as help them strengthen their emotional vocabulary.

    This was interesting.

I’m an Aquarius and was married to an Aquarius for 21 years, together 30 years, and had 4 children together. He was very abusive, a cheater, and a pathological liar! I didn’t understand how a man like that could treat the mother of his children that way. When we divorced 8 years ago, I found out recently while we were trying to make our marriage work, he got engaged to a much younger woman 2 years before i was blindsided with a divorce. She is 15 years his senior and she has a daughter a few years younger than our only baby daughter. He begged me to have another child when I was 36 years old and had 3 sons already. I agreed thinking he’ll be there to help raise her also. But he’s raising someone else’s daughter and not his own. What I’m saying is, no matter what sign you are, if you really love someone with your heart, then you will be happy. The heart wants what the heart loves. Thank you

But we’re always able to communicate and work thru it, he gives me my space n I give him his. He knows that I’ll take it like a champ, but when I have had enough, he knows to stay away because all hell will break loose lol. Maybe that’s why we’ve lasted, the conversations are great and the you know what is Awesome. I don’t know why, but I’ve always had great relationships with scorpios. Hi – it’s amazing you’ve been able to stay with somebody for 13 yrs! You must have had something in common to get together at first. I mean, you don’t have sex on the first date, right? Nor in the first week after meeting. I’ve heard of people that are together for close to a year before engaging in sex. The longer you wait, the better. But yes, if after 13 yrs, you’re still turned on by each other – that is Great. A lot of people would like to be in your shoes.
Well, my suggestion is to find what you have in common, what brought you together in the first place? Write up what you both like i.e. music, movies, TV shows, types of outdoor activities, food, whatever – and start doing that. If you find stuff to talk about if you try. Talk about Politics or News of World. Plan things with family. Plan trips to far away places or the beach, or a big major city (tourist attraction), a lake, go boating. There’s a million things you can do & talk about. Good luck.

Your moon sign can be a much stronger influence than your sun sign. That has a lot to do with compatibility, making it last. In fact, it might be the tell tale sign of whether it will fly or not. You need to know your time of birth to see your astro placement details. That is your blueprint if not, your manual!

Hi Michael, my thought is an Aquarius guy would rather stick to his marriage, than leave it for somebody else who is in love with him.

I am madly in love with a Aqua guy, he won’t leave who he is with though (no matter how badly she treats him). I think it’s a matter of a home to live (which is owned by both) in a very expensive metro area–where rents are quite high. Also, he has not gotten to know me better (finances & all) b/c he does not feel like taking the time to go out.
I’d love to be with him & would treat him like a King!

I’m a Cancer, but far different from your wife. I LOVE my guy insanely! – and would do anything for him.

I wish he were like you & would think of leaving the person he’s with.

I am a Capricorn, very much in love with Aquarius. We have a difference, but we balance each other out.

Communication is key in the relationship, I find Aquarius to be more reluctant to express his feelings, whereas I would, as a Capricorn, prefer to talk things out and make things work.

Aquarius is a very stubborn person, but as am I, too. However, the communication side of things need to balance in order the relationship to work.

Capricorn is very much a hardworking, career minded person, whereas, sometimes Aquarius needs a push, which Capricorn can help to support that and encourage.

Capricorn is very organised, which Aquarius need someone like Capricorn to help each other out.

In bed, Capricorn and Aquarius have magnificent and amazing sex. It is all about communicating needs and wants. If one party is not appealed or is happy, one has to speak up and teach each other.

    Loyalty is key.

We’ve been together for over 10 years and never been happier.

The more you indulge into thinking Capricorn and Aquarius cannot work, you are very much delusional. I have close friends that are also Aquarius.

    Kind Regards,
    Capricorn.

I was in a relationship with a cancer woman for 14 years , I’m an Aquarius- i loved her with all my heart- sadly after so many ups and downs we decided it wasn’t going to workout anymore. She’s sensitive and requires alot of emotional attention-her being bipolar was a huge weight on my back and i was too independent and focused alot on learning new things which was often to fast for her to keep up the difference came when i was interested in a brighter future and she wanted to start a family where we really weren’t in the right place to do and this was too heavy on her heart. We still talk and would hang out sometimes but as a couple we both couldn’t fulfill each others core needs. I’ve dated a leo and it was amazing 100% but i want to be sure of myself before I settle down currently dating a Scorpio now that story might be a short chapter if she don’t realize being that possessive and jealous is not normal.

I’m a Cancer woman in love with an Aquarius man. I met him at work (worked there for 2 & half mos, then left for a different position elsewhere, same company). I actually fell for him in my last 3 weeks there. Though the sparks flew once we realized we liked each (the guy could not take his eyes off of me every time he saw me). I felt the same. Had not been in love in years! He is everything I am looking for in a man. Though we’d had a few (less than 3 or 5 min) conversations in the 1st month & half I was there, once I felt he liked me, I started talking to him for longer periods. We got close, he confided in me, then the hugs started. One day he kissed me. Went absolutely Ga Ga for this guy! I started trying to get alone time with him. Anyway, since shortly after starting work there, I’ve know he is with another woman–though it may not work out. Seems she is losing interest in him. Even though he’d given me his personal email to stay in touch; a couple of days before I left, he told me he probably would not be seeing me upon me leaving. I feel I showed too much interest too soon. I may have scared him away. At my new job, I kept in touch with him via Instant Msg’er a few times (me, mainly writing), but his cube-mate is nice & continues to stay in touch with me. I don’t know sometimes if he’s having his cube-mate write to me to find out what I’m up to (?). I mean, how can a guy who appeared to be falling in love – all of a sudden not want to see me anymore. I have not made the effort to see him. It’s been months now. I’m in love with him, but feel he has to make the first move to want to see me. Is this typical of Aquarius men? – to play it cool, to with-hold their feelings, emotions? To perhaps get a work friend to find out what you’re doing? I know I made a lot of mistakes. Was too eager (he might have thought I was easy)- that I’m guy-crazy (which I’m not, have not been with a man in several years). Though, he started the chase, showed interest, I might have given in too soon—in professing I liked him. We’ve never gone out. This was mainly a strong physical attraction, with not much conversation & getting to know each other well. Our foundation was weak, I know. We didn’t get a chance to build a strong or solid friendship by talking more. Towards the end, he became a big flirt–in not showing me respect in wanting to know me better. I hate what has happened. I don’t know if I’ve lost him forever, or if one day (if I go by & see him), he might show he is still interested some. It’s been confusing b/c it felt so real–like he was starting to fall for me i.e. confiding in me, the way he’d look at me. But his actions these past months, mainly show a man who is not really interested. I’m just scared he won’t get back whatever feeling he had for me as time passes by. And I’m not ready to go see him yet (at work) till I look perfect (lose weight for 1 thing). Any Aquarius men out there who can give me their thoughts? Or any men out there who have met & treated a woman in a similar fashion? Any advice please? Thx.

      Hi Dori,

I don’t know if you’ll get this message since you posted back in December, but what the hey I’ll give it a go. I’m an Aquarius male and I personally would be flattered if a woman I’d been showing an interest in was in pursuit of me, like you had said you were considering doing. I generally distance myself from people when I have a lot on my plate and I understand how that can be frustrating for others (friends, family, coworkers). I cannot be productive or focused when people are distracting me and sometimes I just have to take control of that sitch for the sake of my own sanity. You being a Cancer may already battle with that quality in an individual….perhaps perceiving it as cold or detached. Despite what I’ve heard about Aquarius’ I am very emotional and affectionate, but also maintain that whole logical thinking pattern, which, a lot of people seemingly, don’t care about. I don’t know where he is in his thought processes or if he’s at the point in his life where he might be ready to logically pursue a loving and heart felt attachment with somebody. I say logically because unless a person has some sort of mental issues, we should, at some point, be in pursuit of that connection with our God or another person. A Cancer, to me, embodies/defines that feeling or emotion. You guy’s are on a whole other plane with your emotions and that is beautiful. I would absolutely love to be with a Cancer to experience that, to learn to feel so deeply. I do feel deeply and I can get myself to tears fairly easily, but I would like to see what I’m missing. Enough about me, if he’s a cold Aquarius, which I’ve only heard about on the astrology sites and never experienced first hand, then I would say leave it alone and don’t get yourself all emotionally calloused up, but not before you confront him about your feelings. Aquarians can become really consumed with stuff, be it work or homelife or just life in general. It’s a curse and a blessing at the same time. So hard to shut our minds off! We feel a lot and it we tend to take to a more analytical place where it just snowballs and can become a ginormous waste of time. I think a Cancer can get the Aquarius out of that place and get us to be more concerned about love and sharing our hearts and sharing it with someone who can be trusted. I know I hold back in relationships when I observe crudeness or insensitivity. I already know they’re not capable of the emotional commitment and to be respectful of feelings and I immediately shut off. If my partner folds up in the clinch, when life’s dishing out turds and becomes a jerk….blam….I’m done or there better be some sincere apologies and NEVER happen again. So I guess, in that respect, I can be pretty cold, but I’ll never initiate that sort of behavior. I don’t know what else to say. I hope I covered some things you might be concerned about or shed some light on your sitch.

      Take care sweety,

      Steve

I’m an Aquarius woman currently in a relationship with a Scorpio man. He’s literally my best friend. I can talk to him about anything and be my complete self around him. When we’re good we’re so good but when we’re bad it’s a nightmare. I’m laid back and a kind of go with the flow type person. He’s a more possessive, everything has to be neat and perfect kind of guy. When things don’t go according to plan he gets upset, almost a feeling of disappointment. I love surprises. Tell him that all the time but he seems to not know what a surprise is. He always has to tell me what he’s going to do for me or get me before he does it. He’s very affectionate as am i. But lately we just can’t get along. Communication is a problem area for us both. One day we communicate fine and the next he expects me to be able to read his mind. He’s a passionate man, sometimes too passionate. He has a bad temper at times which doesn’t help when we get into arguments because my temper can be just as bad. It’s weird. We’re either completely in love with each other or we’re not speaking to one another for days. We’re in a constant stop and go honey moon phase. When it’s on go i can see myself being with him forever. I like my alone time, and i like spending time with my friends. But it seems i can’t do either without him being right there next to me. Don’t get me wrong, we have so much fun together, but i still very much value my me time. We’ve been together off and on for a good 6 years but for the last year or so we’ve decided that if we’re going to be together we’re going to be together, no breakups. We have so much growing to do together. It’s hard. I have my doubts. Literally the only thing keeping us together is that we love each other. Save stopping to remember why we fell in love in the first place can be a difficult task as well. I hope we can make it. But i don’t think we will.

Hi, I am a 32 y.o. Cancer and am dating a 43 y.o. Aquarius. We have known each other for over a decade. We met as co-workers and soon became friends, and then friends with benefits. For the longest, I expressed my feelings of wanting to commit and he always was honest and told me he wasn’t ready. We both have been involved with other people, I soon found someone and began a relationship with him, we got married and had a child and everything. My aquarian remained friends with me, always there for me, tender and caring, polite, great listener, overall good friend. He never came on to me, but I would come on to him, and he never stopped me. We always ended up messing around, but still being “friends”. Finally, he decided to introduce me to his children, some family, and friends. And started calling me his girlfriend. I have recently found the nerve to leave my husband, and I am now living with my aquarian for 6 months. I am ready to take it to the next level-marriage. We have a blended family already and get along nicely. I am just not trying to shack up forever. Is he ever going to ask me to marry him being that we have been basically “together” for 10+ years or should I just move on?

I am a Virgo, but love an Aquarius woman, she is everything I could wish for in a woman. Nothing could be more real for me even that our differences make things less complicated in all actuality because I like her traits & understand them & I think she likes mine and even says they are cute. It’s the differences that keep us interested in each other I think?

Maybe it’s rare, but it can be a spectacular thing if we see eye to eye.
