Foster Kittens Lily and Kyra
Tera, Kyra, and Lily were foster fosters, as we took them on for another kitten foster parent who was away on vacation, so we had these little sweethearts for a very brief time.

There isn’t much to say about this crew because they were among the easiest we’ve ever cared for, with no medical or behavioural issues. Their only problem was shyness, particularly Lily. The other two were also frightened when they first arrived, but quick to bond with us, climbing onto our laps, purring like crazy, and offering little nose bump kisses. Lily required more coaxing, and I think she will always be a very shy girl, but she was very affectionate when her trust had been won.
These pretty, sweet little girls did not look much alike other than their sleek, athletic builds; however, they shared one unique feature in common. All had very kinked tails. Tera had a tiny, almost imperceptible kink, Kyra’s tail was an elongated, bent stub, and Lily’s tail was a crazy conceptual artwork, zigging and zagging in various directions. We’ve had quite a few foster kittens with kinked tails, but nothing that elaborate before.
After a week, the girls went back to their regular foster parents. Their stay with us brought our total of fostered kittens up to 117 over the past eight years.
