Skookumchuck Hot Springs, north of Whistler Village, are fed into a series of large rustic tubs. There is an adjacent campground next to the beautiful Lillooet River, so you can enjoy the springs all night long if you wish. On warm weekends the site can turn into a big party, but during off-peak times there are opportunities to have a tub to yourself. There is no cell phone reception and there are no stores in the area, so bring food and drink.
Skookumchuck has five large tubs in total – some with half-A-frame privacy walls and others open to the stars. The tubs are clothing optional.
Dogs are permitted in the camping area but not in the vicinity of the springs.
For those who prefer walls around them when they sleep, there are beautiful cottages for rent a short drive away (see Lillooet Lake Lodge).
I’ll be visiting the springs this summer, so I’ll try to get some pictures of the tubs to add to this profile.
