Clear Creek Hot Springs, located a couple of hours from Harrison Hot Springs, can only be accessed via a very rough road. I wouldn’t attempt it without 4-wheel drive. We had a good vehicle and it was still a bit dodgy at times, with potholes bigger than the SUV.
The remote, beautiful site has surround views of mountains and forest. The springs themselves are contained in a random assortment of mismatched tubs.
There isn’t much information about these springs online, but I found a couple of blogs with some decent photos of the tubs and site (see below). I didn’t take any pictures there because we arrived during a long weekend and the whole site was a giant party – lots of naked people who may not have appreciated being featured in a public photo gallery. Hot spring visitors tend to be friendly and nice, but if you want a more private soak and don’t feel like partying with a big group of strangers, I don’t recommend going during a sunny weekend.
You can find directions to Clear Creek Hot Springs at Bivouac.com. Although this site mentions a cabin, I’ve seen people complaining on various forums that it has since burned down and I don’t recall seeing it when we were there a few years back.
