This beautiful getaway within the city is a nice big chunk of old growth forest (763 hectares) near the University of British Columbia. The forest is criss-crossed with a variety of trails, ranging from the wide and flat to the narrow and leafy, though nothing too challenging. These trails are great for walking, jogging, and cycling.
Dogs are allowed on most of the trails, and some even provide off-leash options, though owners are expected to control and clean up after their dogs at all times. There are educational tours available.
