The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre and Museum of Vancouver share the same building. The Space Centre offers a variety of fun activities, such as discovering how you would look as an alien had you evolved on various types of planets and riding in a cool space flight simulator. You can also catch a Planetarium show and take a walk through the Museum of Vancouver, which features artifacts from Vancouver’s history as well as ever-changing special exhibitions and events.
The Vancouver Maritime Museum is just a short walk away from the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre (look for the old submarine on the grass nearby). The Maritime Museum is home to the St. Roch, the first ship to sail the Northwest Passage from west to east and to circumnavigate North America.
In addition to the Space Centre and the two museums, there are a series of beautiful beaches and parks in the area.
