Chilcotin and Lilooet (Chilly and Lilly) were our first foster kittens of 2015. These sweet little tabbies were the easiest kittens we’ve ever had. They loved people right from the start and had no digestive or other health issues or behavioural problems, so there really isn’t much to say about them. Given how easy they were, they didn’t provide any dramatic stories like many of our other kittens, but for those who care for foster kittens, lack of excitement is a good thing.
We were able to give the girls a run of our place very soon after they arrived. They learned their names immediately and always came when we called to put them away for the evening (foster kittens typically stay in a large cage or bathroom for some time after arriving, as this allows us to keep an eye on their eating and litterbox habits and more easily spot any health or behavioural issues).
The girls spent their days running around, chasing sunbeams, playfighting, chirping like little birds, and giving us no trouble at all.
In keeping with their smooth start in life, these lovely girls were quickly adopted by a veterinarian, so they’ll to receive expert, loving care throughout their lifetimes.
Photo updates show two happy, healthy, rapidly growing little cats.
